Nose: Very pleasant and welcoming, with a soft, warm fruitiness. A blend of dried and ripe orchard fruits evokes late summer and early autumn. Over time, cool notes of vanilla and almond milk introduce a hint of winter, while additional vanilla, cut grass, and green herbs enhance the complexity.
Taste: Full-bodied yet silky smooth, featuring white pepper and marzipan up front. Hints of toasted oak and cacao nibs follow, with added dried fruits and caramel notes on subsequent sips.
Finish: Medium to short, highlighting dark fruitiness and rich sweetness. Almond pudding with rich vanilla cream emerges, with caramel morphing into rich and floral honey. Background notes of coal and soot, with an oaky dryness and more pepper at the end.
Comment: Delightfully complex and seasonal. I like!
