The Myken vindstyrker series is a range of four products from Myken Distillery, Norway. “Vindstyrker” equals wind speeds, and the series aim to show off the differences in expression when you mature unpeated and peated whisky in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The Myken vindstyrker - Storm is a peated whisky matured in 40L ex-bourbon casks. See the official product page for further details.

Nose: Mild wood smoke and swirls of vanilla and sweet caramel. With time gentle notes of orchard fruits. Then almond paste and roasted marshmallows.

Taste: Medium body. Caramel, white pepper and malt drops. Sweet wood smoke.

Finish: Medium to short finish. Drier now, soot in addition to wood smoke. Vanilla and orchard fruits in the background.
