The Myken vindstyrker series is a range of four products from Myken Distillery, Norway. “Vindstyrker” equals wind speeds, and the series aim to show off the differences in expression when you mature unpeated and peated whisky in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The Myken vindstyrker - Fønvind is an unpeated whisky matured in 40L ex-sherry casks (Oloroso, PX and Cream sherry). See the official product page for further details.

Nose: Assorted dried fruits served with caramel and vanilla ice cream.

Taste: Medium body. A bland mix of caramel sauce and orchard fruits. White pepper and fizzy peppermint follows.

Finish: Medium long finish. Salty caramel and vanilla ice cream with a sprinkling of roasted almonds. Fizzy and fun all the way.
