The Myken vindstyrker series is a range of four products from Myken Distillery, Norway. “Vindstyrker” equals wind speeds, and the series aim to show off the differences in expression when you mature unpeated and peated whisky in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The Myken vindstyrker - Frisk bris is an unpeated whisky matured in 40L ex-bourbon casks. See the official product page for further details.

Nose: Rather shy on the nose. Apples and pears, with a drizzle of honey. With time softly briny.

Taste: Medium body. Malty with notes of ginger, cinnamon and vanilla.

Finish: Medium long finish. White pepper, nuts, marzipan and vanilla ice cream now. Hints of tropical fruits in the end.
