My first review of a whisky from Lochlea Distillery, located in the Lowland region of Scotland. Matured in 1st fill ex-bourbon barrels.2018 vintage, bottled March 21, 2022. Limited to 7000 bottles. Lochlea Sowing is their Spring Edition Release.

Nose: Rich maltiness with a dominant fruity profile, featuring apples, a hint of grapefruit, and strawberries. Vanilla adds a creamy layer, with soft green notes emerging over time.

Taste: Medium-bodied, offering a combination of white pepper, vanilla, malt, and citrus. Milk chocolate provides a delightful richness.

Finish: Medium-long, continuing the milk chocolate presence, now enhanced by hints of green herbs and fizzy ginger.

Comment: Balanced and flavorful.
