This is the third batch of the peated finish product from Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery. Not much detail known about this product, other than that is has been finished in casks that have previously held peated single malt whisky.

Nose: Malty with a subtle hint of wood smoke, initially shy. Over time, notes of white pepper and vanilla emerge, with a backdrop of orchard fruits. The peat is mild but noticeable.

Taste: Medium-bodied with a peppery profile, accompanied by notes of soot and ashes. The orchard fruits stay in the background, offering a medium sweetness.

Finish: Medium-long, with the peatiness gradually fading to reveal more fruitiness. Creamy vanilla ice cream topped with fresh strawberries becomes prominent towards the end.

Comment: Balanced and evolving.
