Nose: Soft, sweet, and mild wood smoke. Vanilla, toasted oak, caramel and leather. With time a bit salty and maritime.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Pepper, ginger, and honey. Notes of salt and iodine firmly confirm that this is a dram that hails from the Scottish islands. Beach side bonfire.

Finish: Medium to long finish. More honey now. Rich and creamy fruitiness (apples, tinned pears, pineapple). A touch dry and green in the end.

Comment: A big surprise, very drinkable and complex! Yay!
