I’m back! Well, I never really left, I just needed a short break after the massive amount of reviews a few weeks back. Here is a new release from independent bottler Douglas Laing. The Cameronbridge 1991 27 YO was distilled in October 1991, matured in a refill hogshead (cask# DL13175), and bottled in April 2019. The total outturn was 400 bottles (50 cl).

There are a few bottles available to buy in Norway at NOK 700 (50 cl bottle) (11399902).

Nose: Super delightful grain. If you have not tried old single grain before, this would be a very good starting point. Wonderful swirls of caramel and vanilla. Soft and delicate on the nose. Honey, cinnamon and light fruits after a bit of time. Hints of white chocolate.

Taste: Medium body and sweetness. Red berries mixed with pepper and vanilla. Mild fruitiness in the back. Is that a touch of coffee? I believe it is.

Finish: Medium to long finish. A bit lighter and brighter now. Fruity with some vanilla and honey.

Comment: A delightful dram.

Score 89/100
