Matured in a refill hogshead, and finished for 9 months in an ex-PX cask. Bottled April 2021.

Nose: Raisins, peaches, strawberries. Rich! Vanilla, and a soft bitterness. I also find a slight dirtiness. Richly sweet, and sweetly rich.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Sugary and buttery. Milk chocolate. Biscuits and toffee. Green notes in the background.

Finish: Fairly long finish. It remains sugary, but now a little edgier. Bitter orange marmalade. Tropical fruits. Dried fruits. Mild oakiness.

Comment: Dirty sweetness. A wonderful dessert whisky! One of the best Blair Athols I’ve had.
