The Hampden Estate Overproof Pure Single Jamaican Rum is currently sold out in Norway, but will be back shortly, and sells at NOK 1095 (12595801).

Nose: Relaxed, laid back, cool. Fruity and moderately sweet. With time sweet, red berries - think strawberries and sweet, sweet cherries. Mild funkiness and white pepper. Homemade caramel pudding. Grilled banana leaves.

Taste: Super smooth and full bodied. Ooh, this is nice. So rich it is almost chewy. Honey sweet, ginger, pineapple, banana. Thankfully there is some funkiness here. It adds that extra little something.

Finish: Medium long finish. Remains incredibly rich, creamy and delightful al the way. Tropical fruits - pineapple, mango, honey dew melon, banana - drizzled with demerara sugar, rich fudge and vanilla ice cream.

Comment: A fantastic tropical cocktail all in itself.
