Two Stacks Irish Whiskey - Dram in a Can

Two Stacks Irish Whiskey - Dram in a Can, NAS, 43%

An unusual whiskey product, from Killowen Distillery located in County Down in the North of Ireland. The distillery was established in 2019. As far as I understand they have not yet released any whiskey fully produced at their own distillery, but they do source whiskey from several other Irish whiskey distilleries. The label of the Two Stacks states “single grain - double barrel”, and it comes in a 100 ml can. That’s all I know.

The Two Stacks Irish Whiskey - Dram in a Can is available in Norway at NOK 100 (17045903).

Nose: Ripe green apples and pears, drizzled with floral honey. Subtle perfume-like notes emerge with time, adding an intriguing twist.

Taste: Medium-bodied with a creamy, fruity character. Straddles a line between being slightly bland and mildly rough.

Finish: Short finish, quickly becoming watery. Notes of melted Snickers bar peek through, ending with sugary and minty whispers.

Comment: A whiskey that does not fully deliver.
