The Talisker 25 YO, from the Isle of Skye, has been matured in mainly American oak hogsheads and in some European oak refill casks.

A few bottles of the Talisker 25 YO find their way to our monopoly shops in Norway tomorrow and will sell at NOK 3000 (175701).

Nose: Vanilla and pepper. Richer and more fruity than the Talisker 18 YO. Welcomes you with open arms. Notes of camphor and dust speak of many years in oak.

Taste: Full bodied and rich. Very balanced and complex. Apples, and hints of tropical fruits as well as dried fruits. Vanilla and black pepper corns. The peat smoke is very soft and more of spice really.

Finish: Long finish with creamy vanilla, white pepper, ginger, cinnamon, dark chocolate and cocoa nibs. Earthy and peppery smoke now.

Comment: Delightful and delicious dram.
