This old expression from Shelter Point has been matured in American oak casks. It was bottled 2017, and limited to 1417 bottles. The barley was harvested from Montfort District Lot 141 (GPS coordinates 49.881347, -125.122406).

This product has since been replaced first by a Montfort District Lot 151, and it is now just called Shelter Point Montfort.

Nose: Malty and dry on the nose. The dusty floor of a malt house. With time also white sugar, tropical fruits and vanilla.

Taste: Full bodied. Creamy vanilla. Rich maltiness. Caramel sauce and melted chocolate.

Finish: Medium long finish. Drier now and less sweet. Mild oakiness and crushed almonds.

Comment: The maltiness is great.
