This rare, old Rosebank is a small batch release from Specialty Drinks Ltd, bottled for The Whisky Exchange.

The Rosebank 21 YO Fascination - The Roses - Edition V was distilled in 1990/1991, and matured in ex-Madeira casks and American oak barrels. The total outturn was 633 bottles.

A handful of these bottles go on sale in Norway on May 31 at NOK 12500 (13172901).

Nose: Clichéd, I know, but it kind of smells like roses. OK, softly floral and green. Camphor and hints of malt. With time also citrus and milk chocolate.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Medium, but deep sweetness. Herbal and floral top notes. Very complex. Almonds, mild spices and orchard fruits. Creamy vanilla.

Finish: Long finish. Rich and delicate all the way. Keeps developing. Making small twists and turns in the fruits and spices.

Comment: Just marvellous!
