Nose: Right off I am met by something a little sour and mineral like. It is reminiscent of a Tobermory. After a few seconds it does relax a little and I am met with various fruits; dried fruits as well as lemon, pineapple and banana. Salt and vanilla. There are sherry notes here as well. In the background hints of detergent, vinegar and sulphur.

Taste: Medium body. Sugary sweet, heavily so. Vanilla and tropical fruits; coconut, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon and banana. A touch maritime.

Finish: Medium long finish. Even sweeter now, but also somewhat darker in character. Fruit drops, coffee and chocolate are added to the mix. No more sour notes, just sweetness. Well, a touch of salt. Soft oakiness.

Comment: An odd Pulteney to me.

Score: 84/100
