The Nc’nean Quiet Rebels Gordon will be available in Norway this coming week at NOK 1260 (16597801).

Nose: The nose begins with a delightful floral freshness, reminiscent of fields blooming with summer flowers. This is complemented by a hint of citrus. As time passes notes of white pepper and a hint of fresh oak emerge.

Taste: Full-bodied, fresh and spicy. A lively medley of pepper, ginger, cinnamon, and even a subtle hint of chili, yet remains very well behaved and balanced. Following the initial spiciness, a wave of softer, fruity notes.

Finish: The finish is medium-long, continuing the theme of soft fruitiness. As the flavors evolve, the profile becomes drier, with the reappearance of oak and white pepper, along with the rustic touch of dry hay.

Comment: I’m not sure Gordon is a rebel, but his whisky is good!
