Nose: Big notes of dried fruits, toasted oak and melted fudge. With time I detect top notes of citrus - lime and lemon zest. Not as “meaty” as one might expect from a Mortlach, but the nose is still fabulous.

Taste: Rotund and robust! Deeply sweet, sweetly deep. Decadent dried fruits. Raisins, plums and sticky dates. Caramel and chocolate sauce. over grilled marshmallows. Hints of citrus.

Finish: Long finish. Remains super sweet, sticky, and rich all the way.

Comment: As rich and decadent as expected and hoped for!
