A blended malt bottled by the Canadian distillery Macaloney Distillers. This blended malt is made up of Scotch single malt from Caol Ila, Clynelish, Ardmore and Blair Athol.

Nose: Warm and enveloping, with rich layers of vanilla, malt, and soft wood smoke. It’s finely balanced and composed, giving off a serene confidence. As it breathes, the theme holds steady, no sudden turns, just subtle evolution.

Taste: Full bodied, with a luxuriously creamy, almost waxy mouthfeel. Orange zest and dried citrus slices take center stage, beautifully laced with soot and gentle spice. A well-measured mix of white pepper, nutmeg, and a dash of salt adds complexity.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Increasingly peppery; both black and white; bringing a drier, lightly oaked dimension. The sweetness of honey and brightness of citrus reemerge, softened by green herbs and a cool herbal twist at the tail end.

Comment: Beautifully layered.

Score 85/100
