Here is another release for the recent Online Tasting Week 2021. This Longrow 17 YO - Online Tasting Week 2021 has been matured in 5 fresh rum barrels. The release was limited to 1025 bottles, and they sold out very quickly.

Nose: Peaty cotton candy. Peaty rhubarb. Peaty earth cellar. Peaty dunnage warehouse. Peaty salt. Peaty sugar and spice and everything nice. Peaty peat!

Taste: Oily, slick and full bodied. Ginger, aniseed, peppery ashes, and peaty peat. Then - wave by wave, all the other peatiness from the nose parade the palate.

Finish: Medium long finish. Creamy vanilla. Green herbs. Wood smoke and roasted, green herbs. Tomato plant that died last week. Minty.

Comment: A very strange one. Love Longrow, Love rum casks. Not quite sure this was a perfect match.
