Jameson Single Pot Still Five Oak Cask Release

Jameson Single Pot Still Five Oak Cask Release, NAS, 46%

Matured in a combination of “ex-bourbon, ex-sherry & Irish, European & American virgin oak casks”. Bottled 2022.

Not available in Norway currently - but will be shortly, from what I understand. Available online at around GBP 47.

Nose: Begins with notes of apples, honey, and white pepper, underpinned by oakiness that becomes more pronounced over time. Complementary hints of dark chocolate add depth.

Taste: Light-bodied, featuring a spicy ginger kick, white pepper, and soft oakiness. The texture is somewhat rough, adding character.

Finish: Medium to short, transitioning to a lighter fruitiness. The initial rough dryness dissipates, revealing lingering flavors of vanilla and runny honey.

Comment: Balanced and steady.
