Nose: Love the exotic spices that first my nose. Then darker notes of leather, dark chocolate, soot, shoe polish and - in the distance - wood smoke. Not as peated as expected.

Taste: Full bodied. Rowan berries, mixed spices, fizzy ginger and dark chocolate with jam filling. Soot and cold ashes in the background. Again the peatiness is a little subdued, but gradually entering the scene.

Finish: Medium to long finish. New additions now are Szechuan pepper, white pepper and a pinch of salt. Toasted oak and soot in the end. Gradually more peaty and dry towards the end.

Comment: Another really good cask picked by Stephen at Single Malt Dreams.
