This blend from Hibernia Distillers is composed of sourced whisky from well-known distilleries. It is made from a mix of 75 % 8 YO single grain whisky from Cooley and 25 % 18 YO single malt from Bushmills. All matured in ex-bourbon casks, then married and finished together for 9 months in Oloroso sherry casks.

The Hyde No. 6 President’s Reserve was bottled 2017, in a limited run of 5000 bottles.

The Hyde No. 6 President’s Reserve is still available to buy in Norway at NOK 760 (8355601).

Nose: Vanilla and orchard fruits. Sweet and mild. Soft sherry notes.

Taste: Medium body and very soft mouthfeel - almost creamy, but more like whole milk. Orchard fruits, vanilla, white pepper, cinnamon and ginger.

Finish: Medium long finish. More ginger and creamy vanilla (yes, it’s creamy now). Milk chocolate and caramel sauce. Hints of apples and pears in simple syrup.

Comment: Sweets for the sweet.
