The High Commissioner is a blended whisky from Loch Lomond. It is becoming a very popular product in several countries, much due to a very low price. It even has its own website.
You can buy the High Commissioner in Norway at NOK 380 (1557501), in Sweden at SEK 217 (044401), and in the UK at around GBP 15.
Nose: Perfumed, spicy and fruity. Floral notes, white pepper, banana and pear. Caramel. Softly sour oaky notes.
Taste: Medium to skinny body. Perfumed, spicy and fruity.
Finish: Short to medium finish. The finish actually has some redeeming qualities. Fairly dry now. Nice balance between the spices and fruity sweetness now.
Comment: Not half bad, but not very memorable either.
