2017 saw the release of this core range product from Campbeltown distillery Glen Scotia. The Glen Scotia 25 YO has been matured for 24 years in American oak refill barrels, then it has been married and finished for one additional year in 1st fill American oak bourbon barrels.

Nose: Soft tropical fruits, toffee and vanilla. Hints of leather and salt. Mild oakiness. It comes across as relaxed and balanced.
Taste: Elegantly rich and full-bodied. Pepper, ginger and nutmeg. Vanilla, honey dew melon and creamy caramel. Again a hint of salt.
Finish: Medium to long finish. Saltier and more spicy now. Somewhat herbal towards the end.
Comment: Elegant and refined.
