This 2022 release is the fifth annual edition of the Chichibu Paris. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and ex-peated Chichibu casks. This release is limited to 1900 bottles, and bottled for La Maison du Whisky.

This whisky goes on sale in Norway this coming week at NOK 4275 (15433201).

Nose: Delicate tropical fruits, including pineapple and assorted citrus. Earthy and creamy vanilla notes. Hints of dark chocolate and cacao nibs.

Taste: Full and elegant. Just as fruity and rich on the palate. The same tropical notes dominate. Hints of smoky chocolate. Creamy vanilla, gren tea and ginger.

Finish: Medium to long finish. The fruitiness turns a little more towards citrus - juicy oranges and orange zest in particular. Pineapple and banana in the background. Some oakiness towards the end.

Comment: I adore this whisky.
