Here is the first in a series of Duncan Taylor Octave expressions bottled exclusively for their Norwegian importer, Daracha.
This is the Bunnahabhain Octave 2008 (Daracha's utvalgte nr. 1). Distilled back in 2008, bottled in 2017. It received a 4 month finish in a sherry octave (cask #3813669). The final outturn was 96 bottles.

Nose: Malty with a green and maritime touch. Chocolate and hints of cocoa and coffee. Peat as well? Perhaps a little.
Taste: Full bodied and full of spicy character. Assorted dried fruits as well as mixed spices. Dark chocolate with peaty notes. Fizzy ginger. Mildly oaky.
Finish: Medium long finish. Hardly any spices on the finish. Just very relaxed and smooth. Creamy vanilla, as well as butterscotch and green apples. Hint of salt. Medium peatiness.
Comment: A highly quaffable young Bunna!
