Bowmore have decided they are too big for Norway, or Norway is too small for them. Thus we no longer have any core range products from Bowmore available in our monopoly stores. Here’s an exception though; a few bottles of the standard Bowmore 12 YO will be made available in the specialist stores starting this Thursday.

This whisky goes on sale in Norway this coming week at NOK 620 (761401).

Nose: Medium peat, but it comes across as rather closed. Somewhat bitter in character. Peat smoke, vanilla, orchard fruits. With time soft floral notes.

Taste: Medium body. Way more smoky now - ashes and coal. Rather fruity and again somewhat floral.

Finish: Medium long finish. Even more floral and green now. Bitter-ish notes in the background. Ashes and peat smoke. Sweeter in the end.

Comment: Quite OK.
