Here is my review of the fifth and last release in the Goldfinch Wine Series. This Blair Athol release was finished in a 1st fill ex-Tawny port pipe, which yielded 325 bottles.

Nose: Another Autumn themed Blair Athol from Goldfinch. Dried fruits, wet leaves, and dunnage warehouse. With time also creamy vanilla and ripe orchard fruits.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Deep and sweet notes of dark chocolate with strawberry an raspberry jam filling. Hints of orange zest. Creamy vanilla. Wet leaves and hints of oak.

Finish: Medium to long finish. More of the same rich, dark fruitiness. Chocolate with juicy jam filling. Tobacco leaves, cut grass and fizzy notes of pink peppercorns (rosé pepper) in the end.

Comment: Enticing.
