Woven W Project Mischief by Charlie

Woven W Project Mischief by Charlie, NAS, 48%

Finally I got to review the Woven blend created by my fellow blogger and friend Shamini “Charlie”. Not a whole lot of details available online for this release, but from what I gather we are looking at a blend of: North British, Glenglassaugh, Glasgow Distillery, an undisclosed high rye bourbon and a little Woven blend.

Exciting, innit?

The Woven W Project Mischief by Charlie is available in Norway at NOK 965 (19200001).

Nose: A decadent blend of chocolate, caramel, and roasted coffee beans, grounded by toasted oak. There’s a delightful Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory cellar vibe here - earthy and indulgent. As it opens up, ripe apples and root vegetables (think potatoes fresh from black soil) add a rustic, vegetal edge. With further time, delicate floral notes emerge to lift the richness.

Taste: Full-bodied with a creamy and rustic mouthfeel. Spicy up front, with an earthy, slightly vegetal undertone. The fruitiness is subtle, staying in the background, while soft chocolate notes add depth and warmth.

Finish: Medium-long. Chocolate and coffee resurface with greater intensity, joined by savory broth-like notes. The finish straddles dry and juicy, with a bitter-herbal lift and flashes of mint and spice.

Comment: Mischievous, complex, and characterful—like a farmhand who moonlights as a chocolatier.
