Willett Pot Still Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Willett Pot Still Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon, NAS, 47 %
Finally we get Willett to Norway. This Kententucky distillery has strong ties to Norway. Established back in 1936 they had to close down production in the early 1980s. In 1972 Martha Harriet Willett married Norwegian Even Kulsveen and in 1984 the couple bought the company. They sourced and sold whisky for decades until they restarted distilling in 2012. Today their son Drew Kulsveen is the Master Distiller at Willett Distillery.
The Willett Pot Still Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon goes on sale in Norway this coming week at NOK 1000 (16283301).
Nose: Dive into creamy vanilla and fresh orchard fruits. There's a subtle hint of soft leather lurking, with a touch of earthy nuts.
Taste: Rich and generous on the palate. Vanilla comes back to play, mingling with juicy fruits. Warm ginger, slightly charred caramel, and a hint of tropical intrigue dance together.
Finish: Settle into a soft finish of leather and almond milk creaminess, topped off with a hint of smooth milk chocolate.
Comment: Like sipping on a silky dessert.
