I present to you the fourth release in the Revival Series from Irish distillery Teeling. I have previously reviewed the Revival Volume II. Teeling 15 YO The Revival Volume IV is a limited release of 10 000 bottles. It has been matured for 14 years in ex-bourbon barrels, and then finished for a year in ex-Muscat casks.

The Teeling 15 YO The Revival Volume IV was bottled in 2017 to celebrate the opening of the Teeling Whiskey Distillery.

Nose: Soft and delicate, as you'd expect. Some oakiness, mixed with vanilla and summer fruits. Quite a lot of citrus notes here.

Taste: Medium to full-bodied. Rich and creamy. Honey and vanilla. The citrus notes are not yet here on the palate, but I do find it to be rather nutty (almonds). White pepper and ginger.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Vanilla, caramel and oak. Now a touch of citrus. Grapes and something earthy in the background. Sweet and soft all the way.

Comments: A very likeable dram. I like the development of this Revival Series from Teeling.
