SMWS G11.1 Tongue tingling intensity!
SMWS G11.1 Tongue tingling intensity!, 14 YO, 57.6 %
I mentioned I recently found a few very interesting old samples in my office. Here is another one.
The SMWS G11.1 Tongue tingling intensity! is a Nikka Miyagikyo Coffey Grain. It was distilled on 1999-12-01, matured in a re-charred hogshead, and then bottled in 2014. The total outturn was 190 bottles.
Nose: Wow! So comforting, so warm, so welcoming. It’s close to becoming too much, but no - this is just lovely. Deep fruity notes, as well as caramel, cinnamon and vanilla. With time almonds, plum jam and rich honey as well.
Taste: Deep, intense and full bodied. Feels like sherry bomb. Lots of dried fruits, orchard fruits, caramel and creamy vanilla.
Finish: Medium to long finish. Refined and intense, sweet and fruity. A touch of toasted oak now, mixed in with all the other good stuff. Almonds, honey and a pinch of pepper.
Comment: Love it!
