A blended malt from independent bottler Douglas Laing. Formerly known as Rock Oyster. I’m not sure if the recipe was changed when the name changed.

Nose: Mild and relatively complex. Fresh pastries, mild spices and something mineral. Solar heated oak. Hint of warm ash.

Taste: Medium body. Sugary ash and soot. Hint of peat. Dark chocolate. Caramel pudding.

Finish: Medium long finish. Subtle sweetness with underlying fruitiness. Still a pleasant sooty feel. Somewhat sharper towards the end. More pepper and drier style.

Comment: Cool in pyjamas!
