An independent bottling from The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. This is a single grain distilled at Port Dundas Distillery in May 1999. Initially matured in an American oak cask, then finished in an ex-Moscatel cask (cask #5249), which yielded 288 bottles in 2019.

Nose: Warm and fruity with milk chocolate and white pepper. Honey baked apples, banana split and assorted nuts.
Taste: Full bodied with lots of warmth. Sweet, almost honey like. White pepper and milk chocolate again. Apples and nutmeg.
Finish: Medium long finish. A bit less sweet on the finish. Drying in character. Ginger, white pepper, honey and hints of mint.
Comment: Who am I to argue with the Cooper? It’s his choice, after all. A fine single grain.
