This is actually a private cask of 25 year old Arran, bottled at cask strength. The cask owners decided to release 60 bottles for sale in the Norwegian monopoly system. SO this is exclusive for Norway. Bottled by Oslo Håndverkdestilleri (OHD). Matured in a single ex-bourbon hogshead (cask 97/403). The cask was filled 1997-03-19, and emptied 2022-03-30.

This whisky goes on sale in Norway this coming week at NOK 3774 (15102701).

Nose: Ripe apples of the finest quality. Chocolate - both milk and dark - of the luxurious kind. With time leather, white pepper, vanilla and a some oakiness.

Taste: Full bodied and rich. Somewhat on the dry side. Medium sweetness. Still very fruity - apples being front and center of course. Again some spiciness in the back.

Finish: Very long finish. More of the same elegant fruitiness. Clean and delicate. Marshmallows, chocolate and white pepper towards the end.

Comment: Lucky to have tried it!
