This is a vintage 2015 release, made with 100 % Islay Barley from Octomore Farm. It is peated to a level of 118.1 ppm phenols.

75 % of the liquid was aged for 5 years in 1st fill American oak ex-bourbon barrels. The final 25 % was matured for the full 5 years in 1st fill ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Fernando De Castilla in Spain.

Nose: Smoky raspberry jam. Leather and strawberry ice cream. Wood smoke and incense. Chocolate shoe polish. Dried figs. With time plums and roasted marshmallows. Slightly burnt sourbread crumb.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Unusually sweet for an Octomore. Red berries, tropical fruits, and runny honey. Raspberry jam. Also sweet, sweet mandarin.

Finish: Medium long finish. It remains deliciously sweet throughout. Rich, creamy and fruity. Sweet, barbecued lemon. The peat smoke compliments the sweet fruitiness perfectly.
