The Mortlach 16 YO is available in Norway at NOK 954 (10944901), in Sweden at SEK 899 (85441), and in the UK at around GBP 95. Unusually this product is quite a lot cheaper in Norway and Sweden than in the UK.

Nose: Mildly dusty, with dried fruits on a light and elegant level. Red berries. Vanilla sponge cake. Earthy cinnamon, Icing sugar with a dark secret.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Honey. Meaty and big in character. White pepper and leather.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Sublime caramel sauce. Butterscotch. Green grass and herbs. Hints of spearmint chewing gum on the finish line.

Comment: A modern classic.
