Here is another release from Kurayoshi Distillery, Japan. The Matsui Mizunara Cask is aged in Japanese oak (Mizunara). That’s all we know.

You can buy the Matsui Mizunara Cask in Norway at NOK 1160 11331201), or as part of a set of 3x20 cl from Matsui at NOK 1162 (11357308).

Nose: Cool and malty at first. White pepper and some oakiness. More spices with time.

Taste: Rich and creamy mouthfeel. Again white pepper, but now accompanied by other spices as well - black pepper and chili. Unsalted peanuts.

Finish: Medium long finish. More nutty and more dry in style now. Warm. Fizzy ginger and exotic spices on the finish.

Comment: A warm and spicy affair.
