Nose: Fairly oaky from the start. Not quite what I expected. Malty with a touch of earthiness. Vanilla and light perfume. Quite rich. Mixed spices, red berries, citrus, sherry and dried fruit with time.
Taste: Full bodied and creamy. Rich vanilla ice cream, buttered and unsalted popcorn. Sticky honey and orange marmalade.
Finish: Medium long finish. Drier now. More oak. Quite the spicy finish. Remains rich and creamy throughout. Playful fruitiness in the background. Dark chocolate with orange marmalade filling.
Comment: Surprisingly rich and malty. It really does grow on you.
