Time now for a fine Sunday dram. I bring you the Longmorn 1992 22 YO Cask #48506 from the independent bottler Adelphi. A whisky distilled back in 1992, bottled in 2014, with a total outturn of 220 bottles. It was matured in a refill sherry cask.

Longmorn is a Speyside distillery, located in the village Longmorn in Moray, Scotland. They are owned by Pernod Ricard.

This whisky is not yet available to buy in Norway or Sweden, but you can find it online at about 85-90 GBP. It will be launched in Sweden on December 1, 2014, at SEK 1259 (item number 84839).

Nose (23/25): Super soft and warm on the nose. I pick up vanilla, almonds, and chocolate. It smells like a lovely, sweet dessert really.

Taste (22/25): Creamy and mild on the palate. Some spiciness and mild oak notes. Fruits and sherry notes, although not very pronounce. Slightly meaty, definitely full bodied.

Finish (22/25): Long and warm finish. Ginger, oak, caramel, orange marmalade, and white pepper. Stays creamy and rich all the way.

Balance (22/25): Lovely dram. Something to serve after a good meal, when you have retired to the big chair in front of the fireplace.
