Distilled all the way back in 2011 and 2012. Initially matured for a short while (not specified how long) in smaller casks, then matured for the majority of its lifetime in an old refill ex-sherry cask (cask #125056). Limited to 60 bottles (50 cl).

The Kjellermesterens Labprøve 6 – Fatlagret Norsk Eplebrennevin goes on sale February 14 in Norway at NOK 999 (14044202).

Nose: Rich, warm, and cozy. Apple juice, caramel and vanilla. Very pleasant and smooth. With time also hints of cut grass and green herbs. Vanilla and orchard fruits.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Rather dry and peppery in character. Somewhat astringent, but in a friendly manner.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Dark, dry and oaky. Some pepper, coffee beans and cocoa nibs in the end.
