The 2024 edition of the Kilkerran 16 YO from Glengyle distillery is made up from 70% ex-bourbon casks, 20% ex-sherry casks and 10% ex-rum casks.

The Kilkerran 16 YO (2024) goes on sale in Norway next week at NOK 1190 (18761001).

Nose: Rich and malty with clear bourbon cask influence, showcasing deep sweetness and vibrant fruitiness. As it opens, darker, earthier notes emerge alongside hints of berries and wood smoke.

Taste: Full-bodied with soft spices layered over caramel, fudge, and a decadent caramel pudding. Sprinkles of rowan berries and red berry jam-filled chocolate add a delightful touch.

Finish: Medium-long, carrying forward the dark chocolate confectionary richness from the palate.

Comment: A dessert-like indulgence.
