Kilchoman 2013 7 YO Ruby Port Cask Finish, 56.1 %

Distilled 2013-04-04, matured in a single cask (cask #2151/2013), and bottled for the Netherlands on 2020-11-25.

Nose: Lovely, deep, aromatic notes of rhubarb and dunnage warehouse, and in the background the meaty and peaty base line of Kilchoman. Oh yeah, bring it on! Green grapes, prunes and juicy raisins. Vanilla and ripe banana.

Taste: Full bodied with a super rich honied and creamy mouthfeel. Meaty peat on the palate as well. White pepper and tropical fruits. Then the deep and rich notes of rhubarb and floral honey.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Not a whole lot of further development, but who cares at this stage. This is grrreat.
