The J. P. Wiser 10 YO Triple Barrel is available in Norway at NOK 197 (14644502). Note that it comes in a 35 cl plastic bottle with screw cap. Maybe not the most appealing packaging, but what matters is the contents.

Nose: Starts off with soft honeyed notes that carry a subtle floral elegance. Juicy, ripe apples provide a fruity foundation, making the nose feel vibrant yet mellow. As it opens up, comforting touches of cinnamon and creamy vanilla emerge.

Taste: Medium-bodied and well-balanced. Honey and a gentle kick of white pepper greet the palate, quickly followed by a cascade of juicy orchard fruits; mainly apples and pears. Add to that a whisper of tropical fruitiness.

Finish: Medium long. The fruitiness and spice gently fade into a richer layer of sweetness. Honey deepens into caramel sauce towards the finish line.

Comment: Mild-mannered but full of charm.
