The Na Sia Single Cask Series showcases the distinctive styles and characters of the six Isle of Raasay single malt recipe casks. Peated and unpeated whisky matured in either virgin Chinkapin oak casks, 1st fill ex-rye casks, or 1st fill ex-Bordeaux red wine casks.

This particular release was distilled 2018, and bottled 2021. It was matured in a single cask (cask #18/12), 1st fill ex-Bordeaux red wine cask. The total outturn was 280 bottles. This was an exclusive for the Swedish market., released on September 30, 2021, at SEK 1195.

Nose: Smoky cherries and peppery red wine. With time notes of green herbs and some fruitiness.

Taste: Full bodied and then some. Pepper and cherry jam. Creamy vanilla. Chocolate confectionary.

Finish: Medium long finish. Drier now. More chocolate, more pepper. Soot and dried herbs.

Comment: Again an enjoyable whisky from Isle of Raasay. This one feels a little off balance though.
