This single cask Highland Park was bottled exclusively for Norway to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Oslo whiskyfestival (OWF). “År” is Norwegian for years.

The Highland Park OWF 15 år was distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2018. It was fully matured in a single refill hogshead (cask #4449), and the total outturn was 570 bottles.

The Highland Park OWF 15 år is still available to buy in Norway at NOK 1997 (10847301).

Nose: Dried fruits, fudge and bread crust - you know that perfect artisan bread with the crunchy crust. With time honey and cold brewed coffee. Vanilla and maple syrup. It just keeps growing and developing in the glass. Wonderful nose!

Taste: Full bodied and well off (ok, rich). Again this unusual, but very pleasant, mix of honey and cold brewed coffee. Orchard fruits and dried fruits in a juicy mix. Grape juice and hints of mint.

Finish: Long finish. Remains sweet and fruity. The coffee notes now take on a more dark chocolate like character. Hints of honey, green herbs and soft oakiness.

Comment: Wow, a truly great Highland Park single cask!
