Glenlivet Founder's ReserveA quick review today of the Glenlivet Founder's Reserve, an entry level whisky from this single malt giant in the Speyside region.

Not a whole lot of information is known of the Glenlivet Founder's Reserve other than that it has been matured in a selection of the aged oak casks and American first-fill oak casks. There is no age statement for this whisky.

The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is available most places, including in Norway at NOK 475 (3913601), in Sweden at SEK 349 (8587601), and in the UK at around GBP 34.

Nose: Mild and approachable. Vanilla, orchard fruits with a twist of citrus. Butterscotch.

Taste: Medium body and sweetness. Still fruity but more towards oranges now. Dark-ish chocolate.

Finish: Medium to short finish. Quite light now. Almost watery as it tapers off.

Comments: Even Steven. Quite OK for an entry level whisky.
