This is the first release in a new annual series of limited editions from The Glenlivet called The Original Stories. The Glenlivet 12 YO Illicit Still was launched in the UK as an Amazon Exclusive at GBP 45.

Luckily for us it is also available to buy in Norway at NOK 590 (12409401).

Nose: Very warm and fruity. Ripe apples and pears. Floral and fruity, rich, runny honey. Vanilla and mild citrus. With time I also pick up more tropical notes as well as strawberries.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Again very fruity. Apples and pears. Vanilla and hints of ginger.

Finish: Medium long finish. Warming and sweet all the way. Fudge over vanilla ice cream.

Comment: A very nice addition to the Glenlivet family. I like the extra omph the higher ABV provides.
