You might remember this product as a 10 YO, which it was up until 2019, then starting 2020 it has been changed into a NAS.

This whisky was matured in ex-sherry casks, and then finished in ex-port pipes.

The Glendronach Port Wood 2021 goes on sale in Norway on Monday at NOK 915 (12788501).

Nose: Hints of rubber and earth cellar. Vanilla. Root vegetables, in particular rhubarb. With time also assorted orchard fruits.

Taste: Medium to light body. Cooler than the nose suggested. Rather mild. A bit dry as well as rough. Earthy and a little vegetal. Freshly turned black soil springs to mind.

Finish: Medium long finish. Sweet and dry-ish. Rhubarb with white sugar. Vanilla.

Comment: Well, I dunno. It’s quite OK.
