Here is another whisky from single cask batch 15 from GlenDronach Distillery. The GlenDronach 1995 21 YO Single Cask has been fully matured in a 1st fill Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon (cask #4418). It was distilled on 1995-06-16, and bottled in May 2017. The total outturn was 651 bottles.

Very few bottles of the GlenDronach 1995 21 YO Single Cask were released for sale in Norway today at NOK 2450 (7941201).

Nose: A medium sized sherry bomb, with a tail of light notes of sulphur. Very distinct sherry notes, but it is not heavy.

Taste: Medium body. Some astringency, slightly bitter. Caramel, vanilla and red berry juice.

Finish: Long finish. Dry an drier. Still lots of berries, including rowanberries. Old school malt drops, raisins and figs. Something green towards the end - though not mint.

Comments: Slightly underwhelming, but still a solid sherry matured whisky.
